WARRANTY POLICY (DOMESTIC+EXPORT)

This guideline, as amended, shall be valid from May 26th, 2023 for transactions with Maschinenfabrik Bermatingen GmbH& Co. KG

1) Warranty

The warranty for the use of Mabe products in the consumer goods sector (private), which were sold directly or via the Mabe specialist trade, is 24 months from the date of sale to the end customer.
For the use of Mabe products in the capital goods sector (commercial) that were sold directly or via the Mabe specialist trade, the warranty is 12 months from the date of sale to the end customer.
For repairs by authorised workshops, 6 months apply. For used products sold directly or via the Mabe specialist trade, the warranty is 6 months from the date of sale.

2) Entitlement under the statutory warranty

The warranty is limited to the free replacement of defective parts (excluding services).
Parts subject to wear and tear are excluded from this, unless they are due to a clear material defect: These wear parts include:

  • Bowden cables, V-belts, clutch plates, tyres, filters, spark plugs, fuel filters, oil filters, mower knife blades, knife drivers, chopping and milling blades, sickle blades, sweeping brushes, etc.

Damage due to improper maintenance and care is generally excluded from the warranty. Regular maintenance and cleaning of the product according to the specifications in the Mabe operating instructions are essential and must be proven. Damage due to improperly performed maintenance and cleaning work is not accepted as warranty.

The operating instructions for the respective product as well as the safety instructions must be observed. Damage resulting from operating errors, improper use, unauthorised modifications or use of accessories not approved by Maschinenfabrik Bermatingen GmbH & Co. KG cannot be recognised as a warranty.

3) Warranty claim

Only the Mabe application form at www.humus-mulchgeraete.de is to be used. Only correctly and completely filled in applications can be processed. The information described below is mandatory.
Applications received by e-mail, phone, fax or letter cannot be processed and will be returned unprocessed.

Warranty claims must be submitted to us no later than 10 calendar days after the repair has been carried out or after the damage has been discovered. If this deadline is exceeded, the warranty claim can no longer be processed.

4) Spare parts

It must be ensured that only original Mabe spare parts and original Mabe accessories are used, which can be obtained directly or from the Mabe specialist dealer. If other than original Mabe spare parts or original Mabe accessories are used / mounted, the warranty claim is void.
The warranty period for original Mabe spare parts is 24 months for private customers and 12 months for commercial use, provided that installation by a Mabe specialist dealer has been proven. For wear parts, the restriction stated in point 2 applies.
In the case of applications relating to spare parts deliveries or warranty repairs, we request that you return the parts concerned to us with the enclosed return delivery note for inspection. You can download the spare parts return delivery note from here: www.humus-mulchgeraete.de

Processing
Spare parts, also for warranty, are always shipped against invoice. In the event of a positive approval of the warranty claim by the customer service management, you will receive a corresponding credit note.
If a Mabe spare part for warranty repairs is not available at short notice (2 working days) and you use an original Mabe spare part from your stock to repair the damage, we will supply a replacement free of charge after it has become available again or can be supplied by Mabe customer service. If a spare part is no longer available, the purchase price paid by you will be refunded.

5) Engine – fuel-powered

If the warranty claim is submitted to us, the claim will be forwarded to the respective engine manufacturer for a decision if necessary. The warranty credit will be issued following the decision of the engine manufacturer.

Direct warranty processing has been agreed with the engine manufacturer. The warranty documents are enclosed with the engine or the mulcher. For easier processing, you can submit the warranty claim directly to the manufacturer.

6) Drive shafts

If the warranty claim is submitted to us, the claim will be forwarded to the respective manufacturer for a decision if necessary. The warranty credit will be issued following the decision of the cardan shaft manufacturer.

Direct warranty processing has been agreed with the manufacturer of the cardan shaft. The warranty documents are enclosed with the PTO shaft or the mulcher. For easier processing, you can submit the warranty claim directly to the manufacturer.

7) Other

Regulations for dealers in the agricultural and municipal machinery sector.
The remuneration for working time is 50,- €/hour. This working time remuneration rate also covers the processing costs for warranty handling and any travel costs arising.

This rate is reviewed annually by Maschinenfabrik Bermatingen GmbH & Co. KG and adjusted if necessary.
